Community Education

Coolum and North Shore Coast Care is willing to share its  practical knowledge and love of the area with the broader community. Services we can provide include:

  • On-site talks on local flora and fauna, wildflower walks
  • Practical working bees for students or team-building activities
  • General awareness sessions on marine turtles, marine debris and coastal management
  • Displays at local events

Our talks and events can be tailored to the audience. Our target audience includes:

  • early childhood and primary school age children
  • secondary and tertiary students
  • corporate and community groups

Please consider we are a Not-for-Profit organisation and whilst our volunteers give their time freely, we do incur certain running costs (eg telephone, internet, travel, printed publications, banners etc.) when conducting these activities and sessions. Accordingly we would welcome some small contribution to cover these expenses. We have set the fee at a modest $5 donation per participant. If the fee would cause your organisation difficultly, please contact us to discuss.

If you are interested in exploring any of these options further, please contact us at info@coolumcoastcare.org.au, to discuss your needs and arrange a time/date.
